As a graphic designer, one of the most exciting and challenging parts of the creative process is finding inspiration. For me, inspiration doesn’t always strike in a moment of sudden brilliance—it often comes from diving deep into the world around me and exploring what other creatives are doing. Here’s how I find the spark for every new project:

I find it incredibly helpful to look at other creators’ work—especially those who have tackled similar projects. Whether it’s browsing design portfolios, exploring design communities, or checking out work on platforms like Behance or Dribbble, seeing how others approach a problem or concept always gives me fresh ideas. I don’t aim to copy what’s out there, but rather to understand how different creatives solve design challenges, and then build on that foundation in my own unique way.

Once I have an idea of what’s out there, the next step is to decide the mood or feeling that my design should convey. I take some time to think about the emotions I want the design to evoke and what tone it should communicate. Whether it’s playful, serious, elegant, or edgy, I feel that defining the mood early on helps guide my decisions throughout the process.

The next step is where the magic starts to happen—deciding on colors and typography. I believe that color and typography are essential tools for setting the right tone. For instance, if I’m designing for a fun, modern brand, I might choose bold, vibrant colors paired with playful fonts. On the other hand, a luxury brand might require a more refined palette and elegant serif typefaces. I always allow the mood I’ve defined to guide these choices, ensuring that every element complements the intended feeling of the design.

Inspiration is everywhere—it’s in the work of others, in the emotions we want to evoke, and in the colors and typography that help tell the story. By focusing on these elements, I can create designs that feel fresh, thoughtful, and aligned with the message I’m trying to convey.
